Sharon Porter  Vocals, Baritone Ukulele, and Percussion

Sharon Porter is also available with: Blue Plate Special (bluegrass bass and vocals), The Tailgators (world music and American favorites), and House Blend (acoustic bass). Singing for her supper since she was sixteen, Porter learned her style and delivery from years of listening and learning at the Blue Wisp Jazz Club in Cincinnati. Active with two vocal jazz groups there, she also worked solo at the Lunken Airport. She has been described as "Rosemary Clooney meets Norah Jones." 

Matt Cooper  Keyboards, Melodica, and Accordion

In addition to the Pale Ales, Matt Cooper performs with the Depot Street Syncopators, Ellington is Forever, the Tailgators, the Moody Brews and the Matt Cooper X-Tet. As a pianist he has performed with many notable performers (including the Woody Herman big band) and is a former winner in the Thelonious Monk International Piano Competition (1988), and he is the author of a book on the piano styles of Duke Ellington. Recently he has taken up Hammond B-3 organ, melodica and accordion.  Since 1991 he has taught piano, jazz studies and music theory at Eastern Oregon University.
